Ok usrbingeek (the admin of Wyldryde.org IRC Server) has really gone too far now. He's been itching to take over my channel for months now because he doesn't like me or how I ran #Ubuntu. He's been dying to find a reason to have me disbanned from my own channel and so now he just comes up with lies saying that we don't give "voice" to users unless they join Digital-IRC. That is so far from the truth, if it were even slightly true why do we only have like 10-15 users on the entire network? (the majority of users that we have now are Services bots and stat bots and i got a few clones as well for logging purposes)

This all started about 2-3 months ago when usrbingeek LIED to me and changed the rules over night about "spamming my network" on #Ubuntu. Let me backup a bit. About 5 months ago I PM'd usrbingeek asking him If it would be ok if I displayed my IRC link ONCE in a while in my own channel. He said sure that's fine as long as it wasn't in the channel topic or on anyone else's channel. 2 months later him and his staff create a "new" rule almost over night stating that "Spamming" irc links for other servers is a no-no and so me and a few other #Ubuntu ops fought with him and Freekie for about 2 hours over that. Nobody came out victorious in that battle, we just all kinda let it drop.

Ok I added Denora stats to the server! You'll see them on the left sidebar under "stats" menu. or just click here Stats (If you want stats for your channel just let LinuxFan or Randall know and we'll set that up for your channel.)

I created a backup site just in case something happens to the main one. A couple notes: #1 you shouldn't have to re register because it's a mirror of the main TikiWiki site that we have. (Unless you have never created an account there, in that case you will have to make an account) Note #2: The backup site is not the same as the drupal site that we have! So if you made an account on drupal you will have to re reg. Note #3: Do not create any blogs or articles on the backup site UNLESS the main Tikiwiki is actually down!

Who isn't these days? But are you active on it?

There's got to be over 100 of them by now and I'm on just about every one of them I think. I have to admit I'm not very active on them. If you're active on them, why? What do you like about them compared to something more traditional like forums?

I think what I like about them the most is it's like a huge MSN or Yahoo! messenger and you can reach more people without having to install any software. I'll probably start using them more now that i have a ping.fm account. It makes it much easier to post to all the networks at once.

Ok, well we had some DNS issues with Godaddy when we switched to HostGator, But everything seems to be working again! :)
